-

KERHONKSON-Jason Charles Schiavo, of Kerhonkson, NY died unexpectedly at home on November 26, 2022. He was born on October 22, 1973, in Tarrytown, NY, the son of Charles Schiavo, (1948 - 2021) and Linda Louise Pachter. Jason graduated from Rondout Valley High School in 1992. He served in the United States Amy before pursuing a career in the culinary arts. After graduating from The Culinary Institute of America, Jason’s creative style shaped many local Hudson Valley menus before he joined the family of Mohonk Mountain House, where he supervised the seasonal Granary and helped out wherever he was needed in the colder weather months. Jason is survived by his mother, Linda Pachter of High Falls, NY, his sisters, Alyssa Schiavo of Walden, NY, Jessica Schiavo of Danbury, Conn., and Elizabeth Destefano of Fishkill, NY, his aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and many dear friends.
