• The Rosendale Theatre, 408 Main St., Rosendale, will screen the 2017 film “Kong: Skull Island” at 3 p.m on Dec. 30. A team of scientists, explorers and soldiers arrive on an uncharted island dominated by prehistoric animal life where Kong is King. • The Kripplebush-Lyonsville Fire District will be hosting its annual organizational meeting on Thursday, Jan. 5, at 6:30 p.m., at 519 Pine Bush Road, Stone Ridge.
• Lifespring: Saugerties Adult Learning Community’s Winter 2023 programming, includes presentations on Wednesdays, Jan. 4and March 1, as well as a minicourse series on Feb. 1 and 8. All programs are free and will be held online via Zoom with prior registration required. On Wednesday, Jan. 4, at 11 a.m., a talk titled “Olana: Art, Ecology, and the Native Forest” will be presented by Sean Sawyer, president of The Olana Partnership.
