• Lifespring: Saugerties
Adult Learning Community’s Winter 2023programming, includes presentations on Wednesdays, Jan. 4and March 1, as well as a minicourse series on Feb. 1and 8. All programs are free and will be held online via Zoom with prior registration required. On Wednesday, Jan. 4, at 11a.m., a talk titled “Olana: Art, Ecology, and the Native Forest” will be presented by Sean Sawyer, president of The Olana Partnership. • The Kripplebush-Lyonsville Fire District will be hosting its annual organizational meeting on Thursday, Jan. 5, at 6:30 p.m., at 519Pine Bush Road, Stone Ridge.
• The Rhinebeck Police Department, in conjunction with the Village of Rhinebeck and the Starr Library will present a community Narcan training on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 6p.m. Narcan is used to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. • UlsterCorps will honor volunteers from service organizations throughout Ulster County with a special Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration on Saturday, Jan. 14, from noon to 2p.m. at the Rosendale Recreation Center at 1055, state Route 32, Rosendale.
