Pine Bush gets past Highland

Chris Sgourdas scored six goals and dished out an assist to lead Pine Bush to a 12-10 victory over Highland on Thursday.

Dominick Masi recorded two goals and five assists for the Bushmen. Gavin Vendy added two goals and three assists, with Gavin Carey contributi­ng two goals and two assists. Colin Carey recorded an assist for Pine Bush, which got nine saves from Dominick Ciarelli.

Liam Comm led the Huskies with three goals and an assist. Ben Canino and Luke Wiese added two goals and an assist apiece. Logan Davis scored two goals, Matt Castelloni scored a goal and assisted on another, and Carson Palmer had two assists for Highland.

Landon Zehr made 17 saves in goal for the Huskies.

Kingston 16, Pine Bush 6

At Pine Bush, Tyson DeLisio led the Tigers with eight goals and two assists in their non-league win over the Bushmen on Wednesday.

Chase Fromson scored two goals and assisted on two others for Kingston, which also got two goals apiece from Keegan Buffa and Dylan Cotter. Dylan Zambito scored a goal, Hayden Mitchell contribute­d two assists and Tanner Blum added an assist for Kingston.

Zach Ware made four saves for the Tigers. Pine Bush goalie Dominick Ciarelli made 30 saves to tie a school record.

Dominick Masi scored twice for the Bushmen, which also got a goal and an assist from Colin Carey and three assists from Gavin Carey. Scoring a goal apiece for Pine Bush were John Pastormerl­o, Gavin Vendy and Chris Sgourdas, who also had an assist.

Our Lady of Lourdes 10, Highland 9

At Highland, Nick Micro and Matt Karuzo each had a hat trick as the Warriors edged the Huskies in a league match on Wednesday.

Alex Crysten scored twice for Lourdes, which also got a goal each from Drew Carney and Kenny Luttman. Micro also had two assists for Lourdes. Getting an assist each for the visitors were Graham Leitman, Andrew Lee, Karuzo and Crysten.

Calinsk Atticus had nine saves for the Warriors, who improved to 5-1 in the league and 9-7 overall.

Liam Conn scored three goals for Highland. Logan Davis added a goal and four assists. Scoring two goals apiece for the Huskies were Carson Palmer and Ben Canino, who also had two assists. Highland also got a goal from Matt Castellani and an assist from Luke Wiese.

Highland goalie Landon Zehr was kept busy, making 32 saves.

The loss dropped the Huskies to 1-5 in the league and 4-11 overall.
