Kingston
Sex abuse: Carlos Fernando Pop-Pinula, 40, address not provided, was arrested by Kingston police at 2:15p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, at police headquarters, 1Garraghan Drive, and charged with sexual abuse of an individual under the age of 11, with contact. Pop-Pinula was sent to Ulster County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail. Additional information was not immediately available. Criminal contempt: Timothy T. Powell, 58, address not provided, was arrested by Kingston police at 6:46p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, at the Midtown Linear Park and charged with criminal contempt of a court order, a misdemeanor. Powell was released with a ticket for Kingston City Court. Drugs: Dylan T. Comerford, 27, address not provided, was arrested by Kingston police at 4:38 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, on Second Avenue and charged with the misdemeanors of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of drug paraphernalia (packaging). Comerford was released with tickets for Kingston City Court.
Drugs: David L. Cartagena, 44, address not provided, was arrested by Kingston police on Deyo Street at 11:15 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13, and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Cartagena was released with a ticket for Kingston City Court.
Drugs: William Joshua Norris, 46, address not provided, was arrested by Kingston police on Albany Avenue at 6:16 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, and charged with the misdemeanors of criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed driving (two counts). Norris was released with tickets for Kingston City Court.
Endangering/criminal contempt:
A 19-year-old was arrested by Kingston police at 4:32p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, on East Chester Street and charged with the felonies of criminal contempt of an order of protection and criminal contempt with physical contact, and the misdemeanors of acting in a manner injurious to a child under 17, obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and reckless endangerment. The youth was not identified by police because of departmental policy. Their status was not immediately available.
Criminal nuisance: Randolph Wayne Oates, 62, address not provided, was arrested by Kingston police on Abeel Street at 6a.m. Thursday,
Oct. 12, and charged with criminal nuisance, a felony. Oates’ status and additional information were not immediately available.
Lloyd
Grand larceny: Jose M. Mijares Valdez, 31, of New Paltz, Ruben Martinez Valdez, 53, of Poughkeepsie, and Ismael Martinez, 24, of New Paltz, were arrested by state police at Highland at 10:33 p.m., 11:44 p.m. and 12:18p.m., respectively, on Sunday, Oct. 15. All three were charged with the felony of grand larceny of property valued at more than $1,000. They were released with tickets for Lloyd Town Court. Additional information was not immediately available.
Catskill DWI:
Dieter Hartmann, 54, of Catskill, was arrested by state police at Catskill in the town at 11:36 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, and charged with the misdemeanors of driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content at or exceeding 0.18%. Hartmann was released with tickets for Catskill Town Court.
