Onteora, Marlboro chalk up wins

BOICEVILLE, N.Y. >> Noah Stern scored 17 points and Brenden Thompson added 12 as Onteora High’s boys basketball team defeated Pine Plains 56-31 on Friday in a non-league contest.

Adam Grady added nine points for the host Eagles.

Warren Lounsbury led the visiting Bombers with nine points, while Damion Regis and Dom Wisniewski each added seven points.

After playing Saturday at Ellenville, the Eagles have a road game at Mount Academy on Monday, Feb. 12, at 5:45 p.m. Pine Plains has a home game again Spackenkil­l on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 5:45 p.m.

Marlboro 63, Red Hook 59

At Marlboro, the host Dukes avenged a 20-point loss to the Raiders earlier in the season as Miles Brooks hit four 3-pointers on the way to scoring a game-high 19 points in Friday’s MHAL game. He also pulled down eight rebounds.

Chris DeNatale nailed three 3-pointers for the Dukes and finished with 13 points. Other Marlboro players who contribute­d to the win were Thomas Benfer (12 points, seven rebounds), Matthew Ciarimboli (nine points) and Ny’eem Douglas (six points, 12 rebounds, six blocks).

Rileigh Jackson (15), Matt Simmons (15) and Landon Ramsey (14) scored in double figures for Red Hook.

On Tuesday, Marlboro downed Beacon 51-44 in a home non-league affair. DeNatale had 13 points, five steals and seven rebounds.

Other contributo­rs for Marlboro were Ciarimboli (12 points), Brooks (seven points, five assists, six rebounds) and Douglas (seven points, 10 rebounds, four blocks).

After a non-league contest Saturday at James I. ONeill, the Dukes host Rondout Valley on Monday, Feb. 12, at 6 p.m. Red Hook has a home game against Rondout Valley on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 6 p.m.

Our Lady of Lourdes 68, Roosevelt 47

At Hyde Park, visiting Lourdes got double-figure scoring from Zach Hart (18), Matt Apenteng (15) and Tom Simpson (13) in the MHAL win.

The host Presidents were led in scoring by Owen Brink and Andrew Parker, who both had 12 points.

Roosevelt is at Saugerties for a Tuesday, Feb. 13, contest at 6 p.m.
