Mid-Hudson Valley arrests report
The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system. Any person(s) charged with an offense or offenses are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Kingston
Criminal contempt/aggravated family offense:
William Bennett Jr., 33, address not provided, was arrested by Kingston police at the Ulster County Jail at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, and charged with the felonies of criminal contempt of a court order (prior conviction) and aggravated family offense. Bennett is being held at the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
Catskill
DWAI-drugs/drugs: Nikolas Dejesus, 30, of Saugerties, and Max H. Grandstaff, 25, of Woodstock, were arrested by state police at Greenville at about 3 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26, in the town of Catskill. Dejesus was charged with the felony of aggravated unlicensed driving and the misdemeanors of driving while ability impaired by drugs, criminal possession of a controlled substance (four counts), criminal use of drug paraphernalia (scales), obstructing governmental administration and criminal impersonation of another person. Grandstaff was charged with four misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Both were released with appearance tickets for Catskill Town Court.
DWI: John Taylor, 51, of Norwich, Vermont, was arrested by state police at
Catskill at 11:38 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, and charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. Taylor was released with a ticket for Catskill Town Court.
Wawarsing
Obstruction of breathing:
Morris W. Henry, 43, of Grahamsville, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 12:17 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, and charged with misdemeanor criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation (apply pressure). Henry was released with a ticket for Wawarsing Town Court.
