ADVENT LUTHERAN CHURCH 1601 Green Lane, (Route 352between 926and Route 3) , West Chester Pumpkin sale: The effort helps support the youth attend the ELCA youth Assembly in Detroit in the summer of 2015. This assembly will gather more than 30,0009th through 12th grade youth for worship, service and community building from across the United States. The pumpkins come from an American Indian Reservatio­n located in the state of New Mexico. The patch is open from noon to 8PM and is currently offering great deals on pumpkins and gourds of all different sizes!

There will be an awards ceremony at 10:30AM to recognize runners/walkers at various levels of participat­ion. $100will be awarded to the first place overall male and female runners. UNITED METHODIST CHURCH 129 S. High St., West Chester West Chester Ecumenical Choir Concert: This year the concert will be Sunday, Nov. 2, at 3pm and will have an All Saints’ Day theme. Over 100singers from the West Chester United Methodist Church, St. Agnes Catholic Church, Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and First Presbyteri­an Church will unite, and each choir will sing selections from its favorite repertoire. A freewill offering will be taken to benefit Act in Faith.

WILLISTOWN UNITED METHODIST Route 3, two miles east of the intersecti­on of routes 3 and 352 50th Anniversar­y: Known as the “Church on the Hill”, Willistown had its first service on Nov. 1, l965, in temporary quarters in the Westtown Swimming Club, with 57in attendance, using purchased, donated and borrowed equipment. The church will have a special anniversar­y service on Nov. 2, at 10 A.M. in the morning, with a luncheon to follow. The speaker will be Rev. Dawn E.
