Share the Warmth fund receives contributions

Thanksgiving Day kicked it off. And “it” is the annual Share the Warmth fundraising effort we participate in every year. Send checks payable to United Way of Chester County/ Share the Warmth, c/o Daily Local News, 250 N. Bradford Ave., West Chester, PA 19

Each year, readers of the Daily Local News step up to help others in need. This year is no different.

Each year we ask the great people of Chester County to open up their hearts and their checkbooks and give so that those less fortunate can make their lives and homes better. Whether it’s new windows, new heaters or a tank of fuel oil, your contributions go a long way to making someone happier during this special time of the year.

So far more than 40 people have contributed more than $3,400 but we have a long way to go. As you prepare for weekend gift shopping please remember those who struggle during the cold winter months.

Please help us continue this holiday tradition of giving to those who need it most.
