Christine C. Pomes of Chester Springs

Christine C. Pomes, 89, of Chester Springs, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Chester Valley Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

She was the wife of the late Daniel Pomes, with whom she shared 20 years of marriage.

Born in Huntsville, Alabama, Christine was the daughter of the late Frank M. and Sallie Posey Sanders.

Before her retirement in 1995, she was employed as a Machine Operator at General Motors for 35 years. She took great pride in being an American Factory Worker. She made parts for and had a passion for Corvettes. She loved owning and driving them.

Mrs. Pomes is survived by her daughters, Yoland Kirk and Sandy Colvin, both of Florida, and Tina Mihranian of Chester Springs; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her daughter, Frances Anderson, and grandson, Russell Spach.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, April 11 at St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Ave., Downingtown, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.

Interment will be held privately in St. Mary Cemetery, Manahawkin, New Jersey.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the James J. Terry Funeral Home, Downingtown.
