Eagles sign pair of players

The Eagles signed wide receiver Seyi Ajirotutu and defensive back E.J. Biggers, who had five tackles in a fateful game against the Birds, to one-year contracts.

Ajirotutu (6-3, 215) caught 13 passes, including two for touchdowns, in his 2010 rookie season with the San Diego Chargers. The undrafted free agent out of Fresno State has 11 receptions and one more TD in the past four years, one of them spent with the Carolina Panthers.

Aji rot ut u, 27, has dressed for 57 games and started twice. He was the Chargers’ special teams player of the year this past past season.

Biggers, 27, is a seventh- round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2009 who played the past two seasons with Washington.

In the 2012 season Biggers started at left cornerback against the Eagles and registered five tackles in a 23-21 loss to the visitors. That was the first NFL victory for then Eagles quarterbac­k Nick Foles, and the last Eagles triumph for then head coach Andy Reid.

Biggers (6 - 0, 185) started 31 of 76 games and recorded an intercepti­on in every season but the 2014 campaign, when he dressed for 15 games.

Biggers had three total tackles coming off the bench in two games versus the Eagles last season.
