VALLEY >> A second victim of a shooting Saturday night has been identified by the Chester County District Attorney’s Office.

District Attorney Tom Hogan said Sunday that two men were found shot and killed inside a vehicle shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday.

According to Hogan, at 6:59 p.m. there was a 911 call for shots fired in the first block of Nichols Avenue in Valley Township. At 7:01 p.m., Valley Township Police Department officers arrived at the scene in front of 18 Nichols Ave.

The DA said police found a minivan parked at that location and that multiple shots had been fired into the vehicle. Police located two men seated inside the vehicle: Clayton Woodward Jr., 32, from Coatesville; and Terrance Craig-White (a.k.a. “Science” and “Syence Hendrix”), 27, from Coatesville. Both men had been shot and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Sources indicated that the shootings occurred in front of the house of a relative of Woodward’s. The area of Nichols Avenue and Glencrest Road was being heavily patrolled by police well into the night Saturday. No one has been arrested in connection with the shootings.

The same sources also indicated that Woodward has prior arrests for offenses such as weapons, burglary, robbery and that he was on federal supervised released for weapons offenses. It wasn’t known if Craig-White had prior dealings with the legal system but no records could be immediately found Sunday for him.

Friends and relatives posted messages of prayers for the family and others remembered Wood-

ward in the neighborhood.

One cousin of the victim posted on Facebook that Woodward was “a good father and a good man in general.”

“I remember growing up on Oak chasing after him, his brother and my brother,” said Genayah Marshall. “Our family is close. We may go a while without seeing each other but the love is always strong.

“He took care of his family. His kids and his woman were his world. We all have fallen short in some way, shape, or form; but nobody deserves to lose their life in front of their mother’s house.”

The Chester County Detectives, Valley Police Department, and Coatesville Police Department are investigating this case. Anybody with information is

urged to contact Chester County Detective Kristen Lund at 610-344-6866.

After going about three years without a homicide, the area of the city of Coatesville and Valley Township has seen three shooting-related deaths in two weeks, according to the DA.

Earlier this month a Coatesville man became the city’s first homicide. Police said Juan Antonio Jiminez was shot on Oct. 3 around 2 a.m. at 123 Fourth Avenue in Coatesville.

Hogan said the homicide of Jiminez was the first for the city in three years.

The Coatesville Police Department and Chester County Detectives are also investigating that homicide.
