Charles H. ‘Chuck’ Jackwood of Honey Brook

Charles H. “Chuck” Jackwood, 82, of Stonecroft Tel Hai, Honey Brook died Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at his residence.

Chuck was the husband of Audrey Smith Jackwood with whom he shared 60 years of marriage.

Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late John J. and Helen E. Pinter Jackwood.

He was an active member of Olivet United Methodist Church where he served on the property and finance committees.

Chuck was a graduate of S. Horace Scott High School class of 1951.

He was a First Lieutenant in the US Air Force, serving as a pilot during the Korean Conflict.

In 1990, Chuck retired from Philadelphia Electric Company after 35 years of service.

Chuck was a member of Philadelphia Electric Co. Quarter Century Club and life member of the West End Fire Co. and the Elks Club of Lancaster. He enjoyed woodworking, painting, hunting and fishing. He volunteered with Operation Thanksgiving and Christmas for many years.

In addition to his wife, Audrey, Chuck is survived by his three sons: Mark W. Jackwood and his wife Mary of Watkinsville, GA; Daral J. Jackwood and his wife Reneé of Wooster, OH and Rand A. Jackwood and his wife Gerri of Middle River, MD; 9 grandchildren: Kristen, Joshua, Ryan, Benjamin, Taylor, Nicole, Ana, Luis, and Ricardo; 2 great-grandchildren: Emmaus and Zoey; and his sister Anella Breedlove and her husband James of Strasburg.

Chuck was predeceased by his two brothers: John and Frederick Jackwood.

Chuck’s memorial service will be held Friday, April 1, 2016 at 11:00am at Olivet United Methodist Church where family and friends may call beginning at 10:00am.

Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
