The league also presented awards to a handful of Chester County residents, including Nathan Bookman, Patrice Proctor, John Pawlowski, Richard Roberts and Koreem Bell, citing their various acts of
voluntary community service.

Roberts was recognized for founding the Young Men and Women In Charge Foundation, an organization dedicated to increasing the numbers of leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematical

The league recognized Bell for receiving his doctorate degree in educational leadership. Bell also works as a guidance counselor for Henderson High School and sits on the Melton Community Center’s advisory board.
The primary goal of the Women’s League for Minority Education is to support historically black colleges and universities and help financially support students seeking higher education.
