Helene U. Kasparian, formerly of Downingtown

Helene U. Kasparian (nee Nielubowicz), age 84, passed away quietly on May 14, 2016 at The Summit Retirement Community, Hockessin, Delaware.

Born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Joseph and Ursula Czepukaitis Nielubowicz, she was retired after being a Registered Nurse for the Chester County Medical Associates in Downingtown, PA.

She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, reading, baking and knitting. She loved spending time at the beach in Topsail, NC.

In addition to her parents, Helene was preceded in death by her sisters, Joanna Vitale and RADM Mary J. Neilubowicz.

She is survived by her sister, Ursula Oleksy of Brick, NJ and her children, sons, Greg (Amanda) Kasparian of Newtown Square and Michael Kasparian; daughters, Helene (Pedro) Quinones of Lincoln University, PA, Ann (Charles) John Colocino III of Northampton, PA, and Mary (Larry) Sushinski of Glendale, CA; grandchildren, Cole, Andrew, Julia, Sophia, Lucas, Jacob and Jackson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 6, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. where visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Parish, 460 Manor Ave., Downington PA 19335. A Rite of Interment will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery formerly known as the St. George Lithuanian RC Cemetery on Cemetery Road, Shenandoah Heights, Pa.
