Marcia W. Heumann of West Chester

Marcia W. Heumann, a resident of West Chester PA, passed away September 28, 2016.

Wife of Joseph J Heumann Sr., Mother of Lynne D Heumann of Philadelphia, Joseph J Heumann Jr. of Bensalem, Laurie (Tucker) Lynch of Newtown Square and Andrew Tucker Sr. of Drexel Hill. Marcia was a grandmother of 8 and a great grandmother of 5.

Marcia is a 1958 graduate of Upper Darby High School. She graduated from West Chester University with a degree in education and started working as a first grade teacher in The Rose Tree/Media School District. She left teaching to raise her children. Marcia returned to the work force as a Regional Administrator for Century 21 of Eastern PA. She then became the director of Human Resources at Bala Presbyterian Home from where she retired.

She was a very active life time member of Newtown Square Presbyterian Church. She loved to read, travel, play bridge, volunteer her time and most importantly spend time with her family and friends.

Marcia is survived by her sisters and their families, Annette Goodsen of Venice, Florida and Cynthia Markley of Exton, PA.

A memorial service will be held on October 15, 2016 at Newtown Square Presbyterian Church in Newtown Square. Visitation will start at 9:30 in the church lounge, followed by service at 11:00. After the service there will be light refreshments in the social hall of the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in Marcia’s name to the Newtown Square Presbyterian Church, 3600 Goshen Rd., Newtown Square, PA 19073.
