Detweiler scored off a corner kick from Salem Carlow as Unionville improved to 5-2-1 in the Ches-Mont, and 6-4-2 overall.

Detweiler tallied in the first half off an Alexa Conroy assist. Erin Garvey and Sophie Schenk were defensive standouts.

Emma Steigerwal­d scored for the Cougars (8-2).

WEST CHESTER 1, GOLDEYBEAC­OM 0 >> Miguel Ross scored from the top of the penalty area in the 57th minute to lift host West Chester to the nonleague men’s soccer victory. West Chester (7-3-2) got five saves from sophomore goalkeeper James Wood (West Chester, Pa./ Henderson) (6-3-2), who earned his fifth shutout of the year with the win over Goldey-Beacom (6-3-1).

IMMACULATA 1, RICHARD STOCKTON 0 >> Nick Boule notched his fourth goal of the season to hand the Mighty Macs (6-4-1) the non-conference victory.

Volleyball

CHEYNEY 3, BOWIE STATE 0 >> Chelsea Hutson collected 15 kills with only one error to lead the Cheyney volleyball team to a 3-0 victory over visiting Bowie State, 2514, 25-14, 25-13. Virshawna Campbell added 10 kills for the Wolves (2-10). Freshman Bryanna Taylor led Cheyney with 16 assists and classmate Mary Flores dished out 11 assists.
