B.S. in Cybersecurity available fall 2017
Immaculata University, known for its rich history and beautiful campus in Malvern, is proud to offer adult students seeking degree completion programs with the convenience of online learning through the College of Lifelong Learning. With the addition of the new B.S in Cybersecurity, students can now choose from 10 programs fully online.
Immaculata staff and faculty proudly offer online students with the same level of customized support on-campus students enjoy, leading to an excellent retention rate. A free online success course sets the stage for new students so they can learn how to navigate their resources before getting started in class.
In addition to the flexibility provided by learning online, most of Immaculata’s online courses are available in an accelerated format as well as a traditional 15-week offering. Immaculata also works with each student individually to assess previous college credits, work and life experiences that can save time and cost.
Current student Paula Kahley is pursuing BS in Health Care Management online. “The online accelerated program works with my schedule,” she explained. “The advisors and faculty are wonderful and work with you to help achieve your dream!”
In addition to the rapidly growing health care industry, Immaculata is responding to the need for trained Cybersecurity professionals. The interdisciplinary bachelor of science program will help students develop quantitative and technical abilities along with skills in critical thinking, communication and ethical reasoning. In- structors are all subject matter experts in the field of cybersecurity and bring a wealth of experience to every class. The six cybersecurity courses take students through the phases of assessing a system’s vulnerability, building defenses in depth, and utilizing forensics.
Additional programs offered online include Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Organizational Behavior, RN to BSN and the region’s only bachelor’s degree in Emergency Planning and Management. With the exception of Cybersecurity, all of the degree completion programs are also available on campus or in hybrid format.
