H. Allan Moore of West Chester, formerly of Paoli, PA

H. Allan Moore, age 97 of Wellington Terrace, West Chester, PA passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Beloved husband of Lucy Cipolla Lorine Moore and the late Patricia Lea Moore. Allan was born on November 13, 1919 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Henry Allan Moore and Carolyn Jeffrey Moore. Allan was a graduate of Tredyffrin-Easttown High School and Penn State University. He was a veteran of the US Army during WW II. Allan was a longtime employee of Abbotts Dairies, where he was a Quality Assurance Manager. He also was a longtime member of The Church of the Good Samaritan, where he served as a money counter and longtime usher at the 7:30am Sunday service. He enjoyed golfing and woodworking and was an avid Penn State University and Philly sports fan. Allan loved the beach and traveling the world with his beloved Lucy.

Husband of Lucy Cipolla Moore; father of Candace L. Eames (Robert), Shelly A. Tilghman, Jeffrey A. Moore (Fran Mantione), and Brian L. Moore; brother-in-law of Dave Sharp; grandfather of Mary Pat, Zachary, and Christopher; step father of 5; step grandfather of 14 and step great grandfather of 14.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Allan’s life celebration service on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 11am at the Chapel of The Church of the Good Samaritan, 212 West Lancaster Avenue, Paoli, PA 19301, where friends may visit from 1011am. Interment will follow at the adjoining cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to The Church of the Good Samaritan.
