Anna Hoopes Miller of West Chester

Anna Hoopes Miller, 97, was called Home on Monday, May 29, 2017.

Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late Lewis H. and Mary Elizabeth Meyer Miller.

A graduate of West Chester High School, she was employed as a commercial artist at Schramm, Inc., buyer for Gilmore’s Department Store, active in the USO and VFW Auxiliary and worked for the National Bank and Trust Co. of West Chester.

Anna was an active lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church.

She was predeceased by brother, Alban I. Miller; half-sister, Elizabeth M. Smith; and half-brother, Jesse M. Miller.

She will be missed by her loving husband, Alfred Miller; her children, Stephen and Barbara; her granddaughter, Elizabeth; son-in-law, Terry R. Stacey; sister-in-law, Jeanette T. Shaw; and nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 5, 2017, at First Presbyterian Church, 130 W. Miner Street, West Chester, where the family will receive guests starting at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Brandywine Valley SPCA.
