BVA free Summer Music Series begins June 29
The Brandywine Red Clay Alliance has announced the line-up for the Sounds Under the Stars summer music concerts. Bring your lawn chair, blanket and a picnic dinner to the Brandywine Red Clay Alliance’s Myrick Conservation Center and listen to music under the stars in a beautiful country setting. The summer concert series Sounds Under the Stars, begins June 29. All performances are held in the acoustically-designed amphitheatre at the Association’s 318-acre Myrick Conservation Center located on Route 842 (1760 Unionville-Wawaset Road), three miles east of Unionville and 6 miles west of West Chester. Music begins at 7:30 p.m. (gates open at 6 p.m.).
The Thursday evening concerts include the following performances:
June 29 - West Chester Band, Concert Band;
July 6 - Lukens Band, Concert Band, A German Band, A Marching Band;
July 13 - Billy Penn Burger Band, Soul, R&B with a Rock edge;
July 20 - Cameltones, Classic Rock, Funk and Jam;
July 27 - Shytown, Classic Rock Covers and Original Music;
August 3 - Montana Wildaxe, Psychedelic Roots, Grateful Dead, Funk, Jam Band;
August 10 - Cousin Jake, Blues and In-Your-Face Rock and Roll.
It is sponsored by Meadow Springs Farm and Phillips Mushroom Farms.

The Association’s Sounds Under the Stars summer music series is beginning its 20th year of providing free entertainment to the public. Attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs or blankets, as well as picnic dinners, for the performances. Wellbehaved dogs are allowed but must be on a leash at all times. Free light refreshments will be available at intermission. All are welcome but the Alliance hopes that visitors will consider becoming a member. Applications will be available at the BRC information table. The Myrick Conservation Center is a smoke-free facility.
Brandywine Red Clay Alliance (BRC) is the oldest small watershed association in the country. The Myrick Conservation Center, a 318-acre property used for ed-
ucation purposes, is open daily to the public. Located on Route 842 (Unionville Wawaset Road), 6 miles West of West Chester and 3 miles East of Unionville, the center is home to the nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the restoration, conservation, and enjoyment of the natural resources of the Brandywine and Red Clay Watersheds through education, scientific activities, environmental stewardship and advocacy. The BRC is supported through membership dues and private donations.
