Children Vacation Bible School Calvary Chapel Chester Springs: Children’s Vacation Bible School is scheduled for July 10-13 for children ages 3 (pottytrain­ed) to 6th grade. This free program will engage all ages including tweens and upper elementary age children. Participan­ts will see a live drama each night, complete with elaborate sets and music. This year’s theme is “The Vikings of Cape Calvary,” a story about a band of sailors who thought they were heroes, but they lived like villains. They had everything they wanted; yet they were never

satisfied. Each night’s event is from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.) at the church at 217 Dowlin Forge Road in Exton. Games, crafts, Bible stories and snacks will also be part of each evening’s activities. The entire event – registrati­on, crafts, games, entertainm­ent, and snacks – is free of charge.

Chicken BBQ Dinner The Marshallto­n United

Methodist Church: A Chicken BBQ Dinner will be Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017 at the church, 1282 West Strasburg Road, West Chester, PA. The menu includes BBQ chicken (leg/ thigh), cole slaw, corn on the cob, baked beans, roll and butter, dessert, and beverage. Hours for the “Eat-in” or “Take-out” option are from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Cost is $13/adult and $5/child (5 to 12 years of age) if ordered before Aug.7 and $15/$5 at the door. Summer schedule change St. Paul’s United Church

Little Falcons programs West Fallowfiel­d Christian School: Two-, threeand five-day programs for three and four year olds are offered. The classes meet from 9 to 11:45 a.m. The hands-on curriculum incorporat­es reading readiness, math skills, language arts, pre-handwritin­g, science, art, music, drama, physical education, devotions, Bible, Spanish and library. Students learn through center time, discovery play, and hands-on activities, as well as fine and gross motor skill developmen­t. Small class sizes allow for individual attention.

The preschool also offers a Mom’s Day Out program monthly on the third Wednesday from noon to 3 p.m. It features a different theme each month. The goal of the program is to provide structured themebased activities for the children in a caring and nurturing environmen­t. It includes learning centers, story time, circle time, craft and outdoor play. The cost for the program is $15 per session. A snack is provided. Space is limited. Trinity: 212 S. High St. West Chester; The Catacomb Closet located in the Parish Hall of the church will hold it’s final summer sale Friday, June 30 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The thrift shop will be closing for the summer and will resume it’s regular schedule after Labor Day. All items in the shop are half price and there will be a bag sale as well. In addition, Family Formation is a new program that will begin in September. Now is the time for parishione­rs, old and new, to sign up for one of the many opportunit­ies to support our children and youth. Sign up sheets are in the Narthex each Sunday morning after the 7:45 Rite 1 service and the 9:00 Rite 11 service.
