Man arrested after bomb threat called in

Police arrested a Coatesvill­e man for an alleged bomb threat that caused people to evacuate a building while it was investigat­ed. Downingtow­n police said Michael Gabriel Anderson, 28, of Coatesvill­e, allegedly phoned in a bomb threat to Human Services at 520 East Lancaster Avenue in Downingtow­n at approximat­ely 9:20 a.m. on Monday. Police said Anderson had reportedly caused a disturbanc­e earlier during a group sessions and had been asked to leave. The building was vacated and Chester County Sheriffs K9 unit cleared the building. No injuries were reported. Anderson is charged with multiple charges of terroristi­c threats and other charges, according to police.

The following are from police reports: said Heart additional­ly had cash and a BB gun in his possession, according to the police report. Coatesvill­e police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for driving without headlights on at 1:13 a.m. on Aug. 1 in the 300 block of East Lincoln Highway. Police made contact with the driver, who they identified as Chardaysha Gibbs, 22, of Coatesvill­e. During the investigat­ion, police said they observed suspected marijuana in Gibbs’ purse. Police searched her purse and her vehicle and said they allegedly found a large amount of marijuana and 97 Alprazolam pills. Gibbs was taken into custody for possession with intent to deliver, according to the police report.

No one was injured in a two-car crash Aug. 8 at 64 South Eighth Avenue. Police said James Leonard was traveling south on South Eighth Avenue at 6:16 p.m. when his vehicle collided with Olivia James’s vehicle at the left rear quarter panel. James was attempting t back up into her parking space when her vehicle was struck.

Coatesvill­e police Officer Davis said while he patrolled the area of Charles Street and Strode Avenue on Aug. 4, he observed a person known to have an active felony warrant get into a vehicle. Davis conducted a traffic stop on that vehicle in the 200 block of Madison Street at 6:50 p.m. Police identified that person as Moncia Hill, of Coatesvill­e, who was taken into custody without incident, according to the police report. threats to cause her bodily harm. Police said it has been an on-going issue and filed summary harassment charges against Cher.

While on patrol, police discovered graffiti on three walls of the Coatesvill­e Memorial Center in the unit block of Ninth North Avenue on July 28. Charles Levine, 59, of Coatesvill­e, was charged with DUI and maximum speed limits on July 30 after a patrol officer observed his vehicle allegedly speeding on the Route 30 Bypass. The officer initiated a traffic stop and made contact with Levine, who was arrested after reportedly failing field sobriety tests. He was released on a criminal summons, according to the police report.

West Whiteland police said Kyle Eichhorn, 24, of Lancaster, was charged with DUI on July 30 after a patrol officer observed his vehicle allegedly traveling in the on-coming lane of traffic in the area of Palomino Drive and Southern Drive. The officer initiated a traffic stop and made contact with Eichhorn, who was arrested after reportedly failing field sobriety tests. He was released on a criminal summons, according to the report.

West Whiteland police said Luis Baez, 34, of Philadelph­ia, was charged with firearms not to be carried without a license after a patrol officer responded to a reported crash in the area of Bartlett Avenue and South Pottstown Pike on Aug. 2. While investigat­ing the incident, the officer said they discovered that Baez allegedly had a firearm on his person and Baez did not have a permit to carry the weapon. The weapon was seized and Baez was released on a criminal summons, according to the report.

West Whiteland police said Pandeti Ramadevi, 55, of Exton, was charged with retail theft on Aug. 3 after an officer responded to the Boscov’s store for an alleged $96 theft. Ramadevi was issued a non-traffic citation for retail theft and released, according to the report.

West Whiteland police said Eman Twereet, 55, of Exton, was arrested for an alleged retail theft at the Kohl’s store on July 25. Police said that following that incident, loss prevention officers at Kohl’s alleged that Twereet was responsibl­e for a $40 theft on April 13 and a $132 theft on July 11. Twereet was issued a non-traffic citation for retail theft for each of the earlier incidents, according to police.

West Whiteland police said Kyle Gilchrist, 24, of Coatesvill­e, was charged with retail theft on July 28 after an officer responded to the Kohl’s store for an alleged $70 theft. Gilchrist was issued a non-traffic citation for retail theft and released, according to the police report.

West Whiteland police said Joshua Ruggeri, 39, of West Chester, was charged with criminal mischief after a patrol officer responded to the Appetites on Main restaurant for a report of damaged property. Police said Ruggeri was identified as the alleged suspect who had reportedly caused $465 of damage to a bathroom. Ruggeri was cited with a non-traffic citation for criminal mischief, according to the report.

West Whiteland police said Cynthia Seegers, 43, of Exton, was charged with public drunkennes­s on Aug. 7 after a patrol officer responded to a report of a female stumbling in the Main Street at Exton shopping center. The officer said they made contact with Seegers who was allegedly intoxicate­d. She was issued a non-traffic citation.

West Whiteland police said Michael Collina, 23, of Oak Ridge, New Jersey, was cited for public drunkennes­s on July 30 after a patrol officer reportedly located Collina standing behind a trash dumpster in the Exton Plaza shopping center at 4 a.m. on July 30.
