Dolores L. McAlpine of Glenmoore
Dolores L. McAlpine, 79 yrs., of Glenmoore, passed away peacefully surrounded by her dearly loved family and went into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 18, 2017 at her home.
She was born on October 23, 1937 in Coatesville. Dolores was the daughter of the late John and Erma (Wallace) Collins. She was the wife of the late John E. McAlpine, Sr.
Dolores was a payroll secretary for 33 years at FMC of Downingtown. She was a member of the Forks of the Brandywine Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Delores enjoyed gardening, crafts, sewing, and traveling.
She was preceded in death by a son, John E. McAlpine, Jr., a daughter, Christine Brown, two brothers, Jack and Edward Collins, and a sister, Ida Wolownik.
Dolores is survived by three sons, James S. McAlpine Sr., William C. McAlpine and Dane L. McAlpine all of Glenmoore and a brother, Dale Collins of Parkesburg. There are seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 11 AM from the Forks of the Brandywine Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 1648 Horseshoe Pike, Glenmoore, with Pastor John “Will” Snyder officiating. Interment will follow at the adjoining cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made in the memory of Dolores to the Chester County SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Road, West Chester, Pa. 19380.
