Marguerite ‘Peggy’ Shank Sheller of West Chester

Marguerite “Peggy” Shank Sheller, 95, of West Chester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Westtown. She was the beloved wife of the late Stephen F. Sheller, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2002.

Born in Malvern, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Alban and Leda Krompholtz Shank.

She was known as “The Dutchmaid Lady” for her many years of top sales of Dutchmaid Clothing line.

She won many awards and trips for her hard work as well as earning a position as Supervisor with many sales reps reporting to her.

She graduated with honors from Clown College and volunteere­d many years in the Recovery Room at Chester County Hospital as well as Florida hospitals.

Peggy loved being in the middle of the action, and made friends constantly wherever she was. Living the past 15 years in Florida with her daughter Susan, opened up another world of friends and places to see.

Peggy is survived by her three children, Pamela Piper-Yeung (Dr. Kai Yeung), Susan (Jerry) Goslin and S. Michael (Kathy) Sheller; two grandsons, K. Stephen Piper (Jennifer) and Evan Piper; three great grandchild­ren, Kelsey, Jessica and Kyle Piper. She is also survived and loved by many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews. She was predecease­d by a daughter, Nancy “Rusty” Ginter and by three siblings; Nancy Howard, Buzz Shank and Billy Shank.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Philadelph­ia Memorial Park, 124 Phoenixvil­le Pike, Frazer.
