Doris Oswald Ritchings of New Holland, formerly of Coatesville
Doris Oswald Ritchings, 93, of Garden Spot Village, New Holland formerly of Coatesville died Friday, December 29, 2017 at Maple Farms, Akron.
Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of Ralph and Elsie Oswald and the wife of Robert Ritchings with whom she shared 64 ½ happy years of marriage before his death in December 2008.
She was a member of Olivet United Methodist Church for over 60 years.
Doris was a 1942 graduate of Coatesville Senior High School.
Doris was a secretary at Lukens Steel and South Brandywine Middle School. She was an active member of the Coatesville community, was a prolific knitter. Doris and Bob traveled the world together on their many honeymoons.
Doris is survived by her son, William A. Ritchings and his wife Paula of Wilmington, DE; and Carol R. Hayoshida and her husband Jerold of Wailuku, Hawaii; 6 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was the last of her immediate family.
Interment will be in Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery, East Fallowfield.
