Buffet Breakfast
Oxford United Methodist Church: On Saturday, Jan. 27 from 7 to 10 a.m.,
the church, at 18 Addison St., Oxford, will host a Buffet Breakfast with all proceeds benefitting the church’s general fund. The menu includes buttermilk pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, sausage, bacon, oven roasted potatoes, sausage gravy and specialty breads. Cost is $7 for adults, $3 for children 3 to 10. Buy advance tickets at the church office or buy tickets at the door. For information, phone 610-932-9698. Annual Stewards Day
Saint Luke UAME Church: On Sunday, Jan. 14, the church, at 117 South Frnaklin St.., West Chester, will host its Annual Stewards Day. Guest Preacher is Rev. St. Paul’s United Church
of Christ: The church, at 101 Worthington Road, Exton welcomes the community to services. Two worship services are held: The 9 a.m. service is an informal gathering with a variety of acoustic music, and the 10:30 a.m. service is more traditional. Children are welcome to participate in Sunday School during the 9 a.m. service. Appeal for Haiti
The Episcopal Church
of the Holy Trinity: The church, at 212 S. High St., West Chester, is collecting items to send to the Sisters of the Society of St. Margaret in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. This is an annual Advent appeal to help those children and elderly women whose life has been devastated by the recent hurricane. Donations of rice, dried beans, powered milk, batteries of all sizes and children’s sneakers are in great need. The Barrels for Haiti can be found in the Parish Hall during regular office hours, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information call the church office at 610-692-4640. The Catacomb Closet at Holy Trinity is open Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fee parking is available in the Union Street parking lot.
