Vikings turn back Coatesvill­e

JP Perucki and AJ Avagliano were triple winners to lead the West Chester East boys swimming team to a key 97-81 Ches-Mont League National Division victory over Coatesvill­e on Friday.

Laszlo Vasko was first in the 200 free and Emil Vasko captured diving for the Vikings (2-0, 3-0).

The Red Raiders (4-1) saw Charlie Mehl and Sean Wolstenhol­me win two events each. Jacob Vannoy nabbed first in the 500 free.

CONESTOGA 94, HAVERFORD HIGH 74 » The Pioneers (40, 5-0) stayed perfect with the Central League triumph. They swept the relays, with Brendan Burns, Evan Zhou, Oliver Brown and Owen Neuman taking the 200 medley. Burns, Brown, Zhou and Kevin Ryle winning the 200 fre and Ryle, Arjun Rao and Miles Whitaker victorious in the 400 free. Individual winners included Burns in the 100 fly and 500 free, Ryle in the 200 IM, Brown in the 50 fre and Neuman in the 100 free.

DOWNINGTOW­N EAST 96, BISHOP SHANAHAN 80 » Robby Esslinger nabbed four events for the Cougars in the Ches-Mont National win. Esslinger captured the 200 medley and 400 free relays and the 50 and 100 free. Vincent Ye was part of the 200 medley relay as well as the 200 IM and the 100 fly. Jack Fidanza was part of the 200 free relay and also won the 500 free and 100 back for the Eagles.

COATESVILL­E 110, WEST CHESTER EAST 73 » The Red Raiders improved to 5-0 with the Ches-Mont National win. Laure DiCamillo won four events, while Peyton Wolf, Laure Wolstenhol­me and Jordyn DiCamillo were triple winners. Sydney Schroder captured diving for Coatesvill­e. Powering the Vikings (1-2), Ann Carozza broke the pool recored in the 100 fly at 56.33. She also won the 50 free, while Carley Castura took first in the 200 free.

DOWNINGTOW­N EAST 106, BISHOP SHANAHAN 80 » Grace Bousom and Lindsey Blake won four events each as the Cougars rolled to the Ches-Mont National win. Bousom was victorious in the 200 medley and 400 free relays and the 200 and 500 free. Blake was part of the 200 medley and 200 free relay and captured the 100 free and the 100 back. Jordan Lambe won the 200 IM, the 100 fly and was on the 200 free relay. Lila Ceribelli (50 free) and Emma Shields (100 breast) were winners for the Eagles.
