George S. Kovach, II of Coatesvill­e

George S. Kovach, II, 53, of Coatesvill­e, passed away suddenly and went home to his Creator on Monday, March 26, 2018.

He was the beloved husband of Beth (McGrath) Kovach, with whom he shared 17 years of marriage.

Born in Wilmington, DE, George was the son of George and Jean (D’Angelo) Kovach of Parkesburg.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by 4-legged children, Mack Tuck, Liberty Belle and Sweet Buttercup; brothers, John and Colleen (Rysak) of Coatesvill­e and Stephen and Deborah (Spiritosan­tos) of Houston, TX; in-laws, Regina McGrath, Vince McGrath and Ann, Greg McGrath and Eileen, Pat Rambo and Liz, Mary McGrath and Mark; nieces, Anna, Lilly, Ashley, Caitlin, Ginny, and Grace; nephews, Daniel, Travis, Greg Jr., Luke, and Vince III; and numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

George graduated from West Chester East High School in 1982, Drexel University in 1987 and was proud of his wrestling accomplish­ments in both. A Regional Champion and State Qualifier in high school, followed by being East Coast Conference Champion and National Qualifier three times in college. As a result, he was inducted into the Drexel University Sports Hall of Fame and is in the process of being inducted into the West Chester East High School Sports Hall of Fame.

Because of his love for the sport, he was a wrestling referee for 15 years and mentor to many up and coming wrestlers in the community.

George worked as a computer programmer for Quest Diagnostic­s for 14 years and loved to work on cars, going on country rides, backbay and deep-sea fishing and boating. He loved to read, especially the Bible which he studied and analyzed. He did Sudoku puzzles and watch old time movies and cartoons.

An evening visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Monday, April 2nd at the James J. Terry Funeral Home - VALLEY TOWNSHIP, 1060 W. Lincoln Hwy., COATESVILL­E.

A morning visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:45 am at St. Peter Church, 2835 Manor Road, West Brandywine, followed by a liturgy service at 11 am.

Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery, West Brandywine.
