Freedom Fest returns on Saturday to Nottingham Park

The Concert & Fireworks will be held on Saturday, July 7, from 5 to 11 p.m. The rain date is July 8 from 6 to 9 a.m.

Offerings will include Jacob’s Ladder, Orbotrons, Herrs sample snacks and food vendors.

The concert starts at 7:15 p.m. by Texas Heat.

At 9:15 county officials welcome guests and asknowledge sponsors.

From 9:30-10 PM - Firework Display will light up the sky. The grand finale incorporates the traditional raising of the American flag above the fields of Nottingham Park.

Parking

Gates open at 6:00 PM and charge $10/ per vehicle. Entrance to the event is free. If you leave and return, you will be charged again. There is no vehicle access to the event field to drop off items before entering parking areas. There are two parking areas Nottingham Park - No shuttle bus service

Enter from Cemetery Road parking is on the west side of the park. A ½ mile walk to the event field. This is the best option for families with strollers. When the fireworks end, please return directly to your vehicle and exit. The park will be illuminated from the event field to the parking area. There is no shuttle service from this location.

Herr Foods, Inc - Shuttle Buses 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM (or until lot is full) Shuttle buses operate from 6- 9 PM. The last bus leaves Herr’s no later than 9 PM. Return service will begin immediately following the conclusion of the fireworks. A bus with handicap accessibility is available. Strollers and pets are not permitted on shuttle buses.

Parking for persons with disabilities is available at both locations. Please inform parking personnel upon arrival.

Directions

Nottingham Park is in West Nottingham south of Oxford. Exit Route 1 and travel left. Follow signs to the fireworks and Herr’s.
