Crawdads outslug Prowlers
The first-place Crawdads pounded out 12 hits and scored in every inning to defeat P.J. Whelihan’s Prowlers, 14-10, in West Chester Adult Baseball League action Thursday night at Farley Field at Hoopes Park.
J.J. Freeman drove in four runs for the winners, three on a bases-clearing triple to right field in the Crawdads’ five-run third inning. Mike McCardell had two hits, including a double, and a sacrifice fly to knock in three runs. Colin Adams (double) and Isiah Winikur (two RBI) each had two hits for the Crawdads.
For P.J. Whelihan’s, Kevin Jewitt had a pair of hits, including a two-run home run to left field in the fourth inning, and Drew Constable had a tworun double in the first inning when the Prowlers jumped out to a 3-0 lead. Hiron Gonzalez added a pair of singles and a RBI in a losing effort.
Jack Fiala, in relief of starter Tyler Dunbar, picked up the mound win. Evan Snyder absored the loss for P.J.’s.
Haly Oil 4, Barnstormers 1 >> Brian Pennock earned the complete game win in Coatesville Adult League action. Mark Bernhard had a double and two RBI and Adam Kreamer added two hits including a double and an RBI for Haly Oil (7-4-1). The Barnstormers fell to 8-7 with the loss.

The Legends were led by Gary Blair, Gary Zimmerman, Jack Freehoff, Tom Daley, and Marty Breisblatt each with two hits. Breisblatt was also the winning pitcher.
