Forum to focus on ending gun violence

WEST CHESTER » Gun Sense Chester County (GSCC) is co-sponsoring and facilitati­ng a student-focused forum, discussion and training program on how to best end gun violence.

This event is titled: Student Activist Conference for Ending Gun Violence.

It will take place on Oct. 6, Saturday at 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at West Chester University, West Chester. The public is invited.

This free event will take place in the Main Building at West Chester University’s Campus. There will be an array of educators, experts and advisors covering key issues like sources of gun violence, gun law, messaging and action steps. There will also be time for networking.

Gun Sense Chester County’s mission is to reduce gun violence. The group believes “Common Ground is the Solution” and focuses on identifyin­g issues on which there is common ground across gun owners and non-gun owners, educating residents, and working with elected officials to advocate for change.
