DEVON » Recovery Centers of America (RCA), a communitybased addiction treatment provider delivering evidence-based care, has expanded their Devon, facility, furthering their ability to treat patients and families – and combat the addiction epidemic in our communities.

Built as a five-star medical facility, the Devon treatment center opened one year ago with 62 beds and has been at or near capacity since November 2017. RCA at Devon is in- network with most major insurance companies to minimize out of pocket expenses for patients and families. RCA at Devon is a 24/7 medically supervised hospital for addiction medicine featuring the latest evidence-based addiction treatment practices delivered by a comprehensive team of medical experts including master’slevel clinicians, therapists, nurses, psychiatrists and recovery support specialists.

Recovery Centers of America at Devon offers a comprehensive continuum of care which includes medically monitored detoxification, residential inpatient and outpatient treatment services. The comprehensive approach to treating addiction includes a wide variety of therapies and programming including individual and group therapies, cognitive and dialectal behavioral therapies (CBT & DBT), medicationassisted treatment (MAT) options, mindfulness meditation, yoga, spiritual services, an immersive 12-step programming, confidencebuilding workshops, comprehensive aftercare planning, an extensive alumni network and more.

Now, in phase three of four planned phases, RCA at Devon has opened 58 new beds, growing the center from 102 to 160 beds, and has hired over 100 new fulltime employees and dozens of part-time employees to support RCA’s 24/7 admission philosophy.

“This month we’ve been operating at 100 percent capacity, which tells us there’s a great deal of individuals and families right in our local community who are struggling with addiction,” said CEO Steve Wicke. “Helping patients transition from active addiction and alcoholism into treatment and long-term, meaningful recovery in a comfortable environment has been our mission from day one.”

When all four phases of expansion are complete, RCA Devon expects to offer 253 beds for detoxification, residential and outpatient services — making it one of the largest addiction treatment facilities in the entire country to be fully accredited by The Joint Commission.

In April, the facility opened an additional 40,000 square feet of space based on the continued need for a local, neighborhood-based addiction treatment provider in the community. RCA at Devon offers specific programming for groups that require their own spaces. The Young Adults Program, treating those aged 18-29, includes separate living spaces for males and female. The First Responders Program is designed to treat the specialized needs of law enforcement, firefighters, correctional officers, EMTs/paramedics and veterans, by providing separate living quarters as well as separate classroom and exercise space to maintain privacy.

RCA also offers free community meeting space for AA, NA, Al-Anon, NarAnon, family support groups and any other recovery-based organization to hold meetings seven days a week. The need for space not only reflects need in the community, but also RCA’s dedication to treating everyone’s unique needs.
