A. James Alexander of West Chester

A. James “Jim” Alexander, 84, of West Chester, died September 15, 2018.

He was born January 24, 1934 in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Jane (Kellough) Alexander; son, Ian (Lee); daughters, Ivy Alexander and Erin Zebley (Steve); grandchildren, James, Cameron, Lauren, Gillian, and Paige; brother, Robert Alexander of Owen Sound, Ontario; and sister, Patricia Grant of Meaford, Ontario.

He was predeceased by his parents, William and Ruby (Atkins) Alexander.

Jim earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from University of Toronto and worked for Sun Oil Company for 35 years.

His main focus was always his family. He also enjoyed sailing, Paoli Presbyterian Church, Chester County library, Yardley Village at Hershey’s Mill, and the family cottage at Oliphant, Ontario.

A visitation will be held from 9 to 10:45 a.m. on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Paoli Presbyterian Church, 225 S Valley Road, Paoli, PA 19301, with a Celebration of Life at 11a.m. Brightly colored clothing is requested.

Interment will be private.
