Mark Evans Raezer (December 15, 1964 – August 28, 2018)
On Friday, Nov. 23, 2018, family and friends will honor the memory of Mark Evans Raezer of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Mark died at the age of 53 after a lengthy chronic illness at his home. Mark is survived by his two daughters, Anna Natasha and Zara Elizabeth, both of Fayetteville, AR.
Mark grew up in Malvern, PA and was a graduate of Great Valley High School, Class of 1983. He spent his professional life working in the field of Information Technology (IT) living in Philadelphia, Chicago, Salt Lake City and Fayetteville, AR. Mark and two other co-workers at IBM were named as the inventors on a patent held by IBM for the “System and Method for Electronic Checks Conversion at Point of Sale Terminal”, which was awarded in 2003. History and reading stood out among Mark’s major interests but baseball was always his passion.
Mark was the son of Ellis M. and the late Elizabeth (Betty) A. Raezer of Shippensburg, PA, and brother of Susan J. Peirce (Edward) of Tallmadge, OH; Terry R. Frey (Robert) of Oakton, VA; and John Raezer (Maureen) of Lancaster, PA; as well as an uncle to many nieces and nephews from across the country.
A service will be held at the home of John and Maureen Raezer, 85 Spencer Ave., Lancaster, PA 17603 on November 23 at 11:00 A.M., with a lunch immediately following.
