HARASSMENT >> On Friday Nov. 30, at 12:13 a.m., police were dispatched to the Unit block of North Seventh Avenue for an altercatio­n. Contact was made with Janecka Morton, 39, and Janetta Deveaux, 33, both of Coatesvill­e. Both entered into a mutual combat fight. Both were cited with summary harassment. CHURCH VANDALISM >> Coatesvill­e police responded to multiple calls at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in the 800 block of Coates Street for reports of criminal mischief. On Nov. 28, police responded to the church and met with the reporting party. The back window of a 1999 Ford van, which is owned by the church, was shattered. On Nov. 29, police responded again and discovered that the rear, driver side window of the same vehicle was now shattered. The damage appears to have been caused by B-B guns. Anyone with informatio­n is asked to contact Coatesvill­e police at 610-384-2300.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF >> On Oct. 28 at 9:23 p.m., Coatesvill­e Police were dispatched to 755 East Diamond Street for a report of criminal mischief. Upon arrival it was observed that a large chunk of cinder block had been thrown through the front window of the Harrison residence, narrowly missing a male resident who was sleeping on a sofa near the window. At this time it is not known why the window was smashed or by whom, and officers are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Coatesvill­e Police.

HARASSMENT >> On Nov. 28 at 6:23 p.m., police were dispatched to the 200 block

West Diamond Avenue for a domestic dispute. Contact was made with a unnamed female victim. The woman told police that she and Brian Rash, 24, of Downingtow­n had an argument at which time he attempted to take her baby. The confrontat­ion became physical. Rash fled the residence prior to police arrival. Rash was charged with summary harassment and disorderly conduct .

DUI, ELUDING POLICE >> On Nov. 26 at 2:19 a.m., police attempted to stop a Purple Toyota Avalon for an equipment violation. The vehicle failed to stop on North First Avenue, where police officers first activated lights and siren. The vehicle turned right onto Lumber Street and the driver threw an object out of the window. Officers called for additional units. The vehicle stopped in the 100 block of Lumber Street. The driver was identified as Herbert Bostic, 57. Bostic admitted to smoking marijuana earlier in the day and refused to go for a chemical test of

blood. Bositc was taken into custody for DUI, fleeing and eluding and drug parapherna­lia charges as well as several traffic violations.

FIREARMS CHARGES >> On Saturday, Nov. 24, at 3:43 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a white Hyundai sedan for a malfunctio­ning brake light and due to an individual inside the car having an active warrant for his arrest. Officers made contact with Ahleem Miller who was in the backseat of the vehicle and took him into custody on his active warrant. The other backseat passenger was identified as Jean Gamble out of Upper Darby. He was found to be in possession of two firearms and was arrested for various weapons violations. The other two occupants of the vehicle were not arrested. Gamble was transporte­d to the station where he was housed for arraignmen­t. He was sent over to Chester County Prison after failing to post $30,000 cash bail. DRUG CHARGES >> During the course of a traffic stop on Nov. 24 at 12:47 a.m. at Oak Street and Woodland Avenue, police found pieces of suspected marijuana on the shirt, jacket and pants of Devanta Boody-Jacobs, 18, of Coatesvill­e. BoodyJacob­s was searched and found to have 18.3 grams of marijuana on his person. His bail was set at $2,500 unsecured and given a court date upon his release.

DUI >> Jordon Lewis-Jacobs, 26, of the 100 block of Garfield Avenue in West Chester was observed going through a posted stop sign. During the traffic Stop Lewis-Jacobs was found to have been drinking. He completed field testing and was found to be under the influence of alcohol to the degree he could not operate a motor vehicle safely and was arrested for DUI.

DUI >> On Nov.24, Coatesvill­e Police conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Harmony Street. During the course of the stop the driver, Robert Parker, 38, of Wood Street, Coatesvill­e, exhibited signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Parker was unable to successful­ly complete several field sobriety tests and was extremely uncooperat­ive with officers. Parker was taken into custody for DUI and was transporte­d to the police station where he was held until sober after refusing to consent to a chemical test.

DUI >> On Nov. 22 at 5:14 a.m., officers were on mobile patrol in the 600 Block of East Lincoln Highway and came upon a motor vehicle accident where a Silver Kia was on top of a white Cadillac. During the investigat­ion of the accident, it was determined that Paige Martin of the 600 block of Coach Hill Court in West Chester was the driver of the silver Kia. Martin had crashed into three parked vehicles and rolled the vehicle one time, ultimately coming to reset on top of a Cadillac, police said. Paige Martin was arrested for DUI, but refused chemical testing. No one was injured due to the accident. PUBLIC DRUNKENNES­S >> On Nov. 22, at 1:53 a.m., police were dispatched to South First Avenue for people who appeared to be under the influence. Upon arrival, officers determined Arthur Brown, 39, of Coatesvill­e, and Lemare Spangler, 36, of West Chester were under the influence of PCP and were a danger to themselves and others. Both were taken into custody and cited for public drunkennes­s.
