PHILADELPHIA >> Nearly 350 guests entered the enchanted “Secret Garden” at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Pennsylvania’s 19th annual Hope Gala to raise critical funds for children and adults with special needs.
The Nov. 10 black-tie event at Philadelphia’s Moulin at Sherman Mills raised more than $180,000 to benefit the 3,500 individuals with emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences Devereux serves in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
“I want to thank all of our donors, friends and supporters for helping to make the 19th annual Hope Gala a huge success. It was definitely a night to remember,” said Devereux President and CEO Carl E. Clark II. “Our goal is to help the individuals and the families we serve on a daily basis achieve more fulfilling and rewarding lives, and we’re able to make that goal a reality, thanks to the support provided by private philanthropy.”
This year’s “Secret Garden” theme, which was brought to life with décor and specially crafted food and drinks, transported guests to an elegant and serene garden setting.
Once-in-a-lifetime experiences, including courtside tickets to a Philadelphia 76ers game, trips to Namibia and Italy and other extravagant items, were offered via live and silent auctions. The band London Bridge provided a fun and festive atmosphere and kept guests on their feet all night long.
Devereux Pennsylvania’s 2018 Hope Gala was presented through the collaboration of the Devereux Hope Gala Committee, the Devereux Pennsylvania Advisory Board and more than 20 corporate sponsors, including presenting sponsor Independence Blue Cross.
