Revival Productions, a new theatre and performing arts company in Coatesville, is putting on a big Christmas musical revue called “Christmas at the Movies” this weekend.
Performances are set for tonight at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.
The cast will be performing choreographed numbers from famous Christmas movies from old films like “White Christmas” through more modern classics like “Home Alone,” “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and even “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”
Revival Productions was founded last October 2017 by Heather Grayberg, a lifelong actress, who performed at Sight & Sound for a few years, and is also a theatre/choreography professor at Lancaster Bible College, and her husband Daniel Grayberg, a music instructor at Collegium Charter School.
They both saw enormous potential in the city and felt that they could help contribute to the revitalization through the arts. Their goal is to bring professional quality theater and performances to the city, restore an old building into a new theater, and help draw visitors into Coatesville to bolster the economy and change people’s negative perceptions as the city improves.
