Man faces drug charges following traffic stop in Coatesville
COATESVILLE >> A man was arrested after police found a crack pipe and drug paraphernalia following a routine early-morning traffic stop.
On Dec. 10, at 1:51 a.m., officers were on patrol in the area of First Avenue and Lincoln Highway when they observed a 2003 Acura MDX making a U-turn on East Lincoln Highway. As they got closer, officers observed a rear brake light out of operation.
A traffic stop was initiated on this vehicle. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Grayling Davis, 62, of Philadelphia. After running a check, police found he had a suspended operator’s license was confirmed to have a warrant for his arrest out of Philadelphia.
Because of the warrant, a pat-down was performed on Davis where the officer discovered a clear glass “crack pipe” in his pocket. Davis was taken into custody for the possession of drug paraphernalia and the outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was held at station for a preliminary arraignment.

DRUG CHARGES >> Ryan Dominique Williams, 26, of Coatesville was arrested for possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug-related paraphernalia on Nov. 28 at 9:32 a.m. on Modena Road at Cambria Avenue in South Coatesville.

ASSAULT >> On Dec. 9 at 12:25 a.m., officers were dispatched to the location of 568 East Harmony Street for a physical domestic. Officers found William Pennington, 41, of Coatesville, visibly intoxicated was located walking down the street away from this location and stopped by officers. Candace Vollmer, 39, of Coatesville, was seen to have minor injuries from an altercation that took place with Pennington. Due to the injuries, Pennington was taken into custody without incident and transported to the police station where he was held for preliminary arraignment. WARRANT ARREST >> On Saturday Dec. 9, at approximately 11:15 p.m. during active patrol, a vehicle identified as a 2016 Nissan Rogue was observed to be operated without front or rear lights illuminated during nighttime hours. A traffic stop was initiated on this vehicle where the operator was identified as Zamir Frisby, 19, of Coatesville. Frisby was confirmed to have a warrant for his arrest out of State Police Embreeville. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the police station where he was held for troopers. THEFT >> On Friday, Dec. 7, at 9:21 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Westley Lane for a theft report. A woman reported having 10 Adderall XR tablets stolen. PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS >> On Dec. 8 at 3:04 a.m., Coatesville police came into contact with a male identified as Rome Boyer while on a traffic stop in the 400 block of Maple Avenue. Boyer was found to be under the influence of alcohol and other controlled substances. Boyer was taken into custody after a physical struggle and was charged with public drunkenness, resisting arrest, and terroristic threats.
