Two ar­rested on drug charges after po­lice alerted about sus­pi­cious ve­hi­cle

Two men were ar­rested on drug charges after neigh­bors called po­lice about a sus­pi­cious car parked at As­tor Square.

Asher Moore, 18, of Ex­ton, Bryan Laf­fey, 20, of West Ch­ester, Clai­borne Moore, 20, of Ex­ton, and a ju­ve­nile were ar­rested on Dec. 23, 2018. The sub­jects were charged after of­fi­cers re­sponded to the 500 block of As­tor Square for a re­port of a sus­pi­cious ve­hi­cle. Of­fi­cers made con­tact with Moore and Laf­fey and re­cov­ered mar­i­juana and drug para­pher­na­lia. Asher Moore was charged with DUI and pos­ses­sion of mar­i­juana and drug para­pher­na­lia.

The oth­ers were charged with pos­ses­sion of mar­i­juana and drug para­pher­na­lia.

The adults were re­leased on a crim­i­nal sum­mons. The ju­ve­nile was charged by ju­ve­nile al­le­ga­tion and re­leased to an adult.

Re­ports from West White­land po­lice: PUB­LIC DRUNK­EN­NESS

>> Daniel Ma­thena, 44, of Hous­ton, Texas, was charged with Pub­lic Drunk­en­ness and Crim­i­nal Tres­pass on Dec. 23, 2018. The charges were filed after of­fi­cers re­sponded to the World of Beers for a per­son who re­fused to leave the premises. Con­tact was made with Ma­thena who al­legedly ap­peared in­tox­i­cated. He was is­sued two non-traf­fic ci­ta­tions and re­leased to a fam­ily mem­ber.

DUI >> AJ Ly­nam, 61, of Malvern, was charged with DUI and traf­fic of­fenses. The charges were filed after of­fi­cers in­ves­ti­gated a two-ve­hi­cle crash on East Lin­coln High­way on Sept. 5, 2018. An of­fi­cer made con­tact with Ly­nam who was the al­leged op­er­a­tor of one of the in­volved ve­hi­cles. Ly­nam sub­mit­ted to a blood test. The re­sults of the blood test al­legedly in­di­cated that Ly­nam was un­fit to op­er­ate a mo­tor ve­hi­cle at the time of the crash. Ly­nam was charged by crim­i­nal sum­mons.

RE­TAIL THEFT >> Hassan Grimes, 41, of Bowie, Mary­land, was charged with Re­tail Theft and Re­ceiv­ing Stolen Prop­erty. The charges were filed after an in­ves­ti­ga­tion into an al­leged $400 theft from the Tar­get store on Dec. 11, 2018. Grimes was charged by crim­i­nal sum­mons. THEFT BY DE­CEP­TION >> Tonya Thomp­son, 45, of West Ch­ester, was charged with Theft by De­cep­tion on Dec. 19, 2018. The charge was filed after of­fi­cers re­sponded to the Boscov’s store for an al­leged theft by an em­ployee. Upon ar­rival, of­fi­cers were ad­vised that Thomp­son al­legedly made four fraud­u­lent re­turns

in the amount of $190. Thomp­son was charged by crim­i­nal sum­mons.

Ben­jamin Pieczyn­ski, 33, of Perkasie, was charged with Re­tail Theft on Dec. 21, 2018. The charge was filed after of­fi­cers re­sponded to the Wal­mart store for an al­leged $11 theft. Pieczyn­ski was is­sued a non- traf­fic ci­ta­tion and re­leased.

Yarisa Lewis, 29, of Coatesville, was charged with Re­tail Theft. The charge was filed after an in­ves­ti­ga­tion into and al­leged $142 theft from the Tar­get store on Dec. 21, 2018. Lewis was is­sued a

Jef­frey Scott, 26, and An­gela Villanueva, 26, both of Coatesville, were charged with Re­tail Theft and Re­ceiv­ing Stolen Prop­erty on Dec. 22, 2018. The charges were filed after of­fi­cers re­sponded to the Tar­get store for an al­leged $487 theft. Scott and Villanueva were re­leased on a crim­i­nal sum­mons.

Ni­cholas Schorn, 27, of Down­ing­town, was charged with Re­tail Theft and Re­ceiv­ing Stolen Prop­erty. The charges were filed after an in­ves­ti­ga­tion into an al­leged $229 theft from the Tar­get store on Dec. 24, 2018. A war­rant was is­sued for Schorn and of­fi­cers are at­tempt­ing to de­ter­mine his where­abouts.
