James L. McLimans of Kennett Square

James L. McLimans, 84 of Kennett Square, PA passed away into heaven on 1-10-19 at home following a lengthy illness.

He was married 49 years to Zora “Scottie” McLimans. Born and raised in West Grove, he attended Avon Grove High School. He was the son of the late Solomon Pusey McLimans and Florence Myers McLimans.

James retired from A. Duie Pyle after 25 years and owned McLimans Furniture Store until 2008.

In addition to his wife, Scottie, he is survived by 2 sons, Scott of Kennett Square, PA and Michael of Wilmington, DE; a grandson, Hunter; a brother, William McLimans, Sr. and his wife, Reba.

James was predeceased by brother, Robert McLimans, brother John McLimans, Sr. and sister, Mary Moore.

In celebration of a wonderful man’s life, a Viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00AM on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Foulk & Grieco Funeral Home, 200 Rose Hill Road, West Grove, PA 19390. Services for James will begin at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at New London Presbyterian Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in James’ memory be mailed to KAU Little League, 873 E. Baltimore Pike, PMB 472, Kennett Square, PA 19348.
