Marjorie Conner Knox of West Chester

Marjorie Conner Knox, 95, of West Chester died on Friday, December 21, 2018.

She was the wife of Reed Knox, the daughter of Horace R. and Esther G. Conner and the sister of Betty Tomlinson who all preceded her in death.

Having lived in West Chester all her life, Marjorie was a 1941 graduate of West Chester High School followed by working as a clerk at the Bell Telephone Company before her marriage to Reed in 1947.

While raising their two daughters, Janet and Nancy, Marjorie was employed at the Chester County Voters Registration Office, where she worked until her retirement.

She was a member of the New Century Club, Westminster Presbyterian Church where she had served as a deacon, enjoyed playing bridge, social dancing at the old Unionville Inn and kept busy after retiring by volunteering at the Bring and Buy.

Her travels took her near and far with frequent visits to Longwood Gardens and the Brandywine River Museum, annual summer vacations to Ocean City, New Jersey and trips to Bermuda, Germany and Tahiti with Reed and good friends.

A memorial celebration will be scheduled in the spring to honor Marjorie’s life and memory with family and friends.
