Police arrest man in stabbing

A man is in critical condition and another is in custody after a stabbing was reported in Pottstown late Thursday night.

Officers from the Pottstown Police Department responded to the area of 546 N. Franklin St. for a report of a stabbing on Thursday, Jan. 3, at approximately 11:55 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Joshua Shupard, 20, of Gilbertsville. The victim had a stab wound to the chest and was being rendered aid by a resident, Joel Glover-Nation, who came outside upon hearing a disturbance, police said.
