Charges are expected in a case in which a man attacked another man with a machete on the property of a mushroom company in New Garden Township, and then was shot in the stomach by another person.

The shooting took place Dec. 17, police said. Involved are several people, including several from Brooklyn, N.Y., who are believed to be involved in a prostitution ring.

The shooting victim was driven from the scene to Christiana Hospital prior to police arriving. He was admitted and since been released.

The investigation is still active, police said, but investigators are receiving little cooperation from anyone involved. New Garden Township’s Criminal Investigation Unit is expecting arrests in the case in the coming months.
