West Caln man arrested on stalking, harassment charges
A West Caln man was charged with stalking and harassment following altercations with a woman on eight separate occasions, police said.
Ryan Hartman, 40, of West Caln Township was arrested and charged with stalking and harassing a 20-year-old woman on eight separate incidents beginning in April 2018 until May 6 of this year.
According to police, Hartman followed the victim from her places of employment in Chester County from the Turkey on Route 340 and Route 82 in the City of Coatesville. Police say Hartman’s behavior continued during that time, which included him following the victim to her residence on two known occasions.
Hartman was interviewed by detectives and denied the incidents but later admitted to authorities that he was attractive to the woman but didn’t know her name.
Hartman was arraigned May 14 and remanded to Chester County Prison after failing to post $50,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is set for May 20.
Coatesville
DRUG CHARGES >> On May 10 2019 Coatesville Police arrested Marquis RuckerHoward, 24, homeless, for suspected DUI and drug possession. Rucker-Howard was viewed operating his vehicle with no headlights or rear lights at the time of the traffic stop. He was put through a battery of field sobriety testing and indications of intoxication were observed. RuckerHoward was arrested, processed and released to a family member pending his preliminary hearing.
WARRANT ARRESTS >> Vanessa Vieau, 33, of East Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, and Gregory Deveaux, of South Fifth Avenue, Coatesville, was picked up on outstanding warrants.
THEFT >> On the date of Wednesday May 8, at a 10:32 a.m., officers were dispatched to a retail theft at the Family Dollar Store. A man later identified as Darren Young, 58, homeless, was observed stealing several bottles of Dove body soap and at an earlier date, a wireless speaker. The subject was located in the area
