Englunds Apparel pounded out 21 hits to take control of the West Chester Adult Baseball League championship series Monday night, routing Exton, 14-3, to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-5 series.

The Bandits jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the second, keyed by a bases-loaded double by Kenny Jarema. The game took a turn on the play, however, when Englunds threw out runners at the plate and at third base. Shortly thereafter the Clothiers took total control, scoring three runs in the fourth, six runs in the fifth and four runs in the sixth against a trio of Bandit hurlers.

Jake Good took the loss for the Bandits after being knocked out in the fifth.

Every batter in the Clothiers lineup hit safely, led by Shane Stackhouse, Ryan Ficca, Sean Bond, Pat Hoban and Bobby Harper — all of whom had three hits. Mike Douglas and Scott Stevens contributed two hits each to Englunds’ biggest offensive outburst of the season. Stackhouse, Harper and Rob Derafelo each knocked in three runs.

The Bandits also showed offensive punch, as Jarema, CJ Pluck and James Vito all had two hits, pacing their 10-hit attack. Dave Slusser tossed a complete game for Englunds, remaining unbeaten on the season, navigating the tough Bandit lineup until his offense could decipher Good and the Bandit relievers.

Game 4 is scheduled for Tuesday at Hoopes Park at 5:45 p.m.
