Rivituso, Patton lead Henderson past Haven

Kylie Patton and Ashley Rivituso each scored for West Chester Henderson in a 2-1 nonleague field hockey win over Strath Haven on Monday afternoon.

Gina Cugino added an assist for the Warriors. KENNETT 8, UPPER DARBY 0 >> Emma Schwarz and Caroline Fiss each scored twice in the Blue Demons’ runaway nonleague win. Devon Johnson, Bridget Wells, Kaitlyn Stolp and Steph Oleykowski also scored for Kennett. Goalie Allie Hodges posted a shutout for Kennett (6-3 overall).

Girls Volleyball

FLEETWOOD 3, DOWNINGTOWN WEST 2 >> Audrey Jones had 24 kills, Maddie Weller had eight kills and two blocks and Cameryn Tuffner had eight kills for the Whippets in a tough five-set loss, 25-18, 27-29, 2426, 25-19, 15-13. Grace Poluch had seven kills, Jenna Schuda had 32 assists and six aces and Lea Fillidore had 28 digs and two aces for the Whippets (7-3 overall).

WC RUSTIN 3, PERKIOMEN VALLEY 1 >> Olivia Stasen had seven digs, 10 assists and four aces, Emily Supplee had seven digs, 12 kills and four aces and Meg Dion added 10 kills and four blocks for the Golden Knights in a 25-15, 17-25, 25-12, 25-13 win. Riley O’Malley had 13 kills and two blocks and Bella Ridgell added five aces and seven kills.

DOWNINGTOWN EAST 193, OXFORD 212 >> Ava O’Sullivan led the way for the Cougars with a round of 42 at Wyncote Golf Club to pick up the ChesMont League win. Anisha Sonti shot a 46, Ava Lichok fired a 52 and Maria Crowe shot a 53 to round out the scoring for East. Oxford got scoring rounds from Becca Fields (51), Jaime Werrin (52), Michaela Schneider (54) and Sierra Cullen (55).

COATESVILLE 4, SUN VALLEY 3 >> The Red Raiders swept the singles courts thanks to Autumn Barnard (6-0, 6-2), Stephanie Vicero (6-0, 6-0) and Leslie Jurado (6-2, 6-4), as the Red Raiders edged the Vanguards. The No. 1 doubles team of Abbey Howard and Emma Friel won a two-set decision, 6-2, 7-6 (7-2). WC HENDERSON 7, WC RUSTIN 0 >> Ella Tunnell, Lauren Knopp and Sophia Ming swept the singles courts in Henderson’s runaway Ches-Mont win over rival Rustin. The doubles teams of Nancy McSwain and Olivia Zoretic, Madi Bailey and Leah Fellows, Anna Dinacci and Jane Halladay, and Stephanie Antonucci and Morgan Selgrade all won in straight sets for Henderson. KENNETT 7, AVON GROVE 0 >> Anna Jiang, Mikara Kumata and Sofie Lusvardi swept the singles courts in the Blue Demons’ sweep of Avon Grove. The doubles duos of Emma Schmidt and Lili Lusvardi, Julia Nowak and Emma Henderson, Tomi Adetayo and Jenna Yarnall, and Olivia Beldyk and Paige Brown won for Kennett, with Nowak and Henderson and Adetayo and Yarnall winning in three sets each.
