Otten invites community to inaugural health and wellness fair
EXTON >> State Rep. Danielle Friel Otten, D-Chester County, will host her first community wellness fair, featuring more than 30 local businesses, service providers and community agencies in October.
This fair will include a lineup of speakers and activities, including free chair massages, an acupuncture demonstration, blood pressure screenings, a healthy food demonstration, a youth strength and conditioning class, a restorative qigong class and much more. All ages are encouraged to attend.
The fair will run from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Marsh Creek Community Church, 101 Crump Road, Exton. Otten and her district office staff will be on site to answer questions about legislative issues or provide help with state-related matters.
“We want this to be an inclusive, all-encompassing event where Chester County residents can learn more about everything from holistic healing, to child and family wellness and senior health,” Otten said. “Mental health, particularly youth mental health, has been a focus of my work in Harrisburg and at home this legislative session. One of the recurring themes I’ve heard from families, healthcare practitioners and service agencies is how important healthy communities are to our children’s wellbeing. This includes healthy habits, a healthy culture and a safe, clean environment. Our goal for this fair is to help build and promote a healthy community right here in the 155th.”
