Police release sketch of road rage suspect
WEST BRADFORD » While no one was injured during what police say was a case of road rage, a bullet shattered the back window of a car in an elementary school parking lot.
Troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police Embreeville Barracks responded to the 6:35 p.m., Sept. 9 shooting at West Bradford Elementary School, Broadrun Road.
Trooper Kelly MacIntyre said at Wednesday’s press conference that police seek information from anyone who was at or near the scene or might have video surveillance evidence of what is believed to be the suspect in a 2014
18 silver or gray Audi A7. A witness recognizing the suspect or vehicle can stay anonymous.
The suspect is described as a white male with dark hair and may have been wearing dark rimmed glasses.
Police said the Audi was behind a car being driven by the victim on Beacon Hill Road when they both proceeded to the stop sign at the intersection with Broad Run Road. While waiting at the stop sign, the suspect’s vehicle began beeping the
horn and the driver of the Audi yelled at the victim.
Both vehicles then traveled north on Broad Run Road. The victim turned into West Bradford Elementary School, and as he began his turn into the school’s parking lot, he looked back at the Audi, police said. When the victim turned to look, he observed a firearm being pointed at him by the driver of the Audi.
Police said a gunshot was fired at the victim’s vehicle and hit the rear windshield. The driver of the Audi then fled the area. The victim called police, who arrived to find the rear windshield of the victim’s vehicle shattered.
The incident is similar to the June 2017 death of 18-year old Bianca Roberson
who was killed while in traffic on the Route 100 Bypass by a single gunshot. Twenty-nine-year-old Delaware County resident, David Desper, was ordered to spend 20-to-40 years in a state prison for the thirddegree murder charge he pleaded guilty to, the maximum allowable by law.
Police ask anyone with information, or know of someone who fits the description in the grade school shooting and drives an Audi A7 automobile, to call them at 610-486-6280 or email josboyd@pa.gov.
