Fox Berkshire plans two screenings of Ruth Bader Ginsburg documentary

-

Fox Theatres has announced that Fox Berkshire, Wyomissing, will offer two special screenings of “RBG,” the 2018 documentary about Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who died on Friday. Showtimes will be Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and Wednesday at 7:10 p.m.

Tickets are $6 at foxshowtimes. com, and Fox will donate the proceeds from ticket sales to the ACLU Women’s Rights Project, which Justice Ginsburg cofounded in 1972.

The documentary is an intimate portrait of an unlikely rock star: Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. With unprecedented access, the filmmakers explore how her early legal battles changed the world for women. It was chosen by the National Board of Review as the Best Documentary Film of 2018, and nominated for several other awards, including the BAFTA Award for best documentary and Academy Award nominations for best documentary feature and best original song (“I’ll Fight”).

“We are all saddened by the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, but remain inspired by her life,” said Don Fox, CEO of Fox Theatres. “This film honors her life and legacy.”

Something unusual is missing among Nielsen’s top programs

NEW YORK » There’s something missing in the Nielsen company’s listing of last week’s 20 most popular primetime programs, something that once would have seemed inconceivable. Not a single scripted program is included — no drama or no comedy. The mostwatched scripted show of the week, NBC’s drama “Transplant,” ranked No. 42 with 3.63 million viewers.

The television production cupboard is bare because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Instead, the top 20 included four NFL games, much to the networks’ relief, and two NBA playoff games.
